January: Virtual Retreat

Virtual Retreat: Purpose & New Year’s Goals for 2026

Begin 2026 with clarity, intention, and faith.

Saturday, January 3, 2026
⏱️ 90 minutes · 📍 Zoom · ⏰ 8:00 AM (AZ Time)

The Society of the 12 Virtual Retreat: Purpose & New Year’s Goals for 2026 is a guided, co-ed online retreat designed to help single Catholic men and women step into the new year with direction, peace, and renewed purpose.

This is not a productivity seminar or a resolutions checklist. It is a structured space for prayer, reflection, and intentional planning, grounded in faith and oriented toward real life.

The retreat invites you to pause, reflect honestly on where you are, and discern where God may be calling you next — spiritually, personally, socially, and relationally.

Who This Retreat Is For

This retreat is for single Catholic men and women who:

  • want clarity and direction for the year ahead
  • feel called to live more intentionally in 2026
  • are discerning vocation, relationships, or next steps in life
  • want to integrate faith into real decisions, not just ideals
  • desire community and reflection, not pressure or performance

Open to all Society of the 12 members who have completed both Questionnaires 1 and 2 by December 28. If you haven’t, go back to your Welcome email, or:

What We’ll Work Through Together

During this guided retreat, participants will reflect on:

1. Your Current Purpose

We begin by grounding ourselves in the present:

  • Who am I right now?
  • What am I doing with my life?
  • Who do I serve, and how does my life affect others?

This creates clarity about where you truly stand — not where you “should” be.

2. Personality & Self-Knowledge

You’ll reflect on:

  • your natural strengths
  • growth areas
  • how others experience you

This helps you discern direction that fits who you are, not someone else’s path.

3. Your Unique Potential

Through guided reflection, you’ll explore:

  • talents and abilities
  • skills and experiences
  • passions, desires, and dreams
  • blessings and sufferings that have shaped you

This session helps connect your life story to a deeper sense of mission.

4. Life Diagnosis

You’ll be invited to imagine your life five years from now if nothing changes:

  • work and finances
  • health and physical condition
  • spiritual life
  • friendships, family, and romantic life
  • lifestyle, hobbies, and contribution to community and Church

This exercise is not meant to induce fear, but honest clarity.

5. A New Direction

From that clarity, you’ll then envision:

  • what you want your life to look like
  • what kind of person you desire to become
  • what kind of relationships and contribution you hope to live

This becomes the foundation for intentional goal-setting.

6. Goals for 2026

You’ll translate vision into realistic, concrete goals:

  • spiritually
  • personally
  • relationally
  • socially and professionally

With attention to:

  • what can be done in the next 2–3 months
  • what would meaningfully redirect your life in 2026

7. First Steps

Finally, you’ll identify:

  • one key priority
  • one concrete action for this week
  • one concrete action for this month

So the retreat doesn’t stay in reflection — it moves into action.

Retreat Format

  • Live virtual retreat (Zoom)
  • Guided sessions with reflection prompts
  • Small-group moments for connection and sharing
  • Personal journaling and prayer time

The retreat is designed to be human, reflective, and hopeful, not rushed or overwhelming.

What You’ll Leave With

Participants typically leave with:

  • a clearer sense of purpose and direction
  • concrete goals for 2026
  • renewed motivation rooted in faith
  • practical next steps for the coming months
  • connection to a broader Catholic community

For those who desire it, the retreat also serves as a natural entry point into the ongoing community life of Society of the 12.

Why Begin the Year This Way?

The way you begin the year shapes the way you live it.

Starting with reflection, prayer, and intentional planning allows you to move forward with peace instead of pressure, and direction instead of drift.
